LOWE’S HEROES spent the day designing a fabulous Science Garden for Quitman Elementary School on Friday. Over $2,500 in plants plus helpers worked all day to beautify the space. THANKS to Lowe’s of Lindale for the fabulous makeover!
TURKEY TROTTERS came to join their students running for hot chocolate and prizes for top runners! This is the third annual Turkey Trot at QES.

REGION 7 presented an Autism workshop on Tuesday to QES teachers. An increasing number of children are identified with Autism each year.
FORMER NAVY AIR CREWMAN Gabe Martin from the Navy talked with the Fifth Graders about his service to our country. He was a rescue swimmer, gunner and air crewman on helicopters. This was in observance of Veterans Day.

LT COL JAMES ATTAWAY taught second grade students at QES about the honor and gratitude that we owe to veterans of our country for their service. Lt Col Attaway fielded questions about heroes in our neighborhood. Veterans are our neighbors, friends and many times our family members.
GRAND FRIENDS DAY is Wednesday, Nov. 20. Grandparents and/or friends are invited to come and eat Turkey and all the fixings with their favorite students. Lunch times are PreK 10:30-11; K-1 10:50-11:40; 2-3 11:45-12:15; and 4-5 12:20-12:50. Everyone is invited. We will send home reservation sheets with students closer to the date.
