Due to the winter weather forecasted for our area, QISD will be closed on Thursday, January 9th and Friday, January 10th for the safety of our students and staff. All facilities will be closed until Monday, January 13th.
Please stay safe and warm during this time. Should any other adjustments become necessary, we will promptly communicate updates via phone calls, text messages, and emails, as well as post information on our official Facebook page.

As we move into the winter months, there is a possibility of inclement weather affecting our area. While forecasts may change, it is always a great time to remind parents and guardians to keep their contact information up to date in the event of potential school delays or closures. As with any potential severe weather throughout the school year, we will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide updates as necessary. Any changes will be communicated promptly.

Please be advised, at approximately 9:30 am today, Wednesday, December 11th, an ambulance was dispatched to the high school campus in response to a student who had a medical emergency. The student is stable and is being transported to the hospital.

School Closure Update: 10/29/24
Quitman ISD has been made aware that the boil water notice for the City of Quitman will be lifted today, Tuesday, October 29th.
All classes and activities will resume as usual Wednesday, October 30th. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
School Closure Update 10/28/2024:
Quitman ISD will be closed again tomorrow, October 29, due to the water boil notice issued for the City of Quitman. Please note that extracurricular activities will continue as scheduled, but we recommend reaching out to your child’s coach or sponsor to confirm any possible adjustments.
At this time, we anticipate resuming classes on Wednesday, October 30. We appreciate your understanding and patience, and we will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
