Teachers are superheroes
It was bittersweet today to give these 5th graders their final G.T. gift. We had 5 fifth grade G.T. students this year and they were all amazing in their own way. I have no doubt they will be a great addition to Quitman Junior High.

April 5th & 6th
On Friday the 3rd graders had a wonderful field trip to the A&M Commerce Planetarium and Buford Park in Sulphur Springs.

The Library put on the Treasure Island challenge in the month of February. These students completed the classic tale from 1881 and got rewarded with pizza with the Principal plus a little treasure.
QISD will observe a staff development day on Monday, 3/7. Students will return to school on Tuesday, 3/8.
16 schools and 100 students participated in the East Texas State Fair's Agricultural Identification contest. This young man right here got second place overall and received his ribbon today.
He represented Quitman I.S.D. quite well!
Quitman ISD will be closed today, February 24th, due to winter weather conditions. Please stay home and stay safe!
QISD will have a delayed start tomorrow, due to the weather. School will begin at 10 a.m. and employees should report at 9:30 a.m. Buses will run approximately two hours later than normal.
Pre-K is building letters and sorting into straight and curved. They are having fun doing it too!

Monday, February 14th, is a staff development work day. There will be no school for students. Students will return to school on Tuesday, February 15th.
The East Texas Food Bank will be bringing their Mobile Food program back to Bud Moody Stadium next Wednesday, 2/16. There are no eligibility requirements, paperwork or ID required. Be sure to enter from West Side Drive from Cliff Street. Distributions will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until supplies run out.
