Superintendent Rhonda Turner recognized two QISD employees last night for their heroic actions. The Bulldog Hero award was given to maintenance employee Christopher Williams in honor of his innovative design of a mobile chair for a student. Elementary teacher Laura Driver was recognized for unwavering commitment to students by stepping out of her role as a math specialist and back into the second grade classroom to complete the school year after an unexpected opening during the first six weeks of school. Superintendent Turner stated, "Both of these individuals exhibit the moral compass that we expect of our Bulldog Team. They not only recognized and considered the needs of our students, but were both willing to step up and take action. They are what is great about QISD".
