April is designated as "National Child Abuse Prevention Month." School districts and other organizations across the state of Texas will have the opportunity to heighten the community's awareness of child abuse and neglect by participating in the "Blue Ribbon Week."
QISD students will have the opportunity to participate in "Blue Ribbon Week" beginning Monday, March 28th. On Monday, students can "Team Up" against child abuse by wearing a team shirt or jersey. On Tuesday, the 29th, students have the opportunity to "Stand Together" against child abuse by dressing identical to their friends. Wednesday, the 30th, brings the opportunity to "Stomp Out" child abuse, with students wearing their favorite boots or other shoes. On Thursday, the 31st, students can wear tie-dye clothing and peace signs to say "Peace Out" to child abuse. On Friday, April 1st, students are encouraged to kick off the official start of "National Child Abuse Prevention Month" by wearing as much blue clothing as possible for "Blue Day."
