To help keep all of our students and staff healthy, we kindly ask that you please keep your child home if they are sick.
Students should remain at home until they are:
✔️ Fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medication
✔️ Free from vomiting
This helps prevent the spread of illness and protects our entire school community.
Additionally, if your child has a doctor’s note stating they may not return to school until a specific date, they must remain home until that date or provide a doctor’s release clearing them to return earlier.
We appreciate your partnership in keeping our school safe and healthy for everyone! 💙

When you support Kids Heart Challenge, you’re helping students learn healthy habits while making a real difference in our communities.

Texas CTE Month, celebrated each February, is a public awareness campaign highlighting the importance of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in preparing over 1.3 million Texas secondary students for high-skill, high-demand careers in 460+ fields. It honors educators, counselors, and industry partners who provide hands-on learning, internships, and certifications for college and career success.
Quitman ISD proudly offers 10 CTE Programs of Study which we will highlight over the month of February!
First up: Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources 🌱🐮💙
Our Agriculture Department is led by Mr. Lee, Mr. Hammond, Ms. Von Reyn, and Ms. Burt. Thank you, teachers, for all that you do!
