On Monday January 4th and Tuesday January 5th QISD Staff were presented with the Capturing Kid's Heart training and professional development. The training and professional development is "a set of culture-shifting, sustainable processes that can be used in classrooms, during staff meetings, in athletic programs, in cafeterias, on school buses, and in homes, ...these processes are designed to directly impact every aspect of your school community." Among the transformational processes taught are cultivating relational capacity, improving school culture, strengthening trust between teachers and students, building self-managing classrooms, creating accountability, improving academic performance, and fostering trauma-informed care.
